I need a duckbill for my Rule 98A sump pump. Rule part # 1240R.  This is the old model with 4 screws on the lid.

West Marine no longer carries it according to their website. Ebay, GoToMarine and one other one sell them but delivery is more than a week.

Does anyone know where I can get one quicker?

What happens if the sump is operated with the duckbill removed besides some of the water running back to the sump?  The box seems to be running over now with the water going into the bilge so some back flow would be acceptable as long as it stays in the box.

Funny you should ask if you can operate the shower sump pump without the duck bill (choker valve). I just went through the same problem on a long trip. Box was overflowing into the bilge due to a faulty duck bill (rule #1240R). I took out the duck bill taking showers and used the sink (sometime both at the same time). Never had a problem with the box overflowing.. Went down the same road on line, West Marine, etc.... Couldn't find a supplier that had it in stock.. Went to Rule themselves, now owned by Xylem and contacted them regarding availability ([Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]).. They got back to me quickly and it took several weeks but sent one to me, "free".... Just installed in the box and all normal again. Box not overflowing.... Good Luck... M2C
