Hull Zincs on Tiara 3200
#1
I need to replace the hull zincs on my 3200 Tiara.
The zincs say B & S on them.
When I surveyed this boat the zincs were new and seem to match the brass color of my prop.
They definitely were not silver in color.
Any thought as to the nature of the original zincs.

Hmmm..In all my years in boating, I have never seen a zinc that wasn't silver/gray in color. The B&S website shows them silver too. Seems odd to me.

3200 Open with inboards?
IPS & Zeus boats require a completely different hull anode than a traditional inboard. The reason is the electric steering system is 400 volts. These systems use a special Aluminum/Magnesium anode as opposed to traditional Zinc.

I have seen zincs that were gold in color, but this was because someone sprayed the mounting bolts with corrosion inhibiter and the overspray coated the zincs.
