Yes to: Risers, elbows, manifolds, heat exchangers.
Additional: thermostats, coolant, elbows, hoses and clamps (to do the job right), belts, plugs, plug wires, fuel filters, oil filters/oil change, oil coolers, raw water pumps.
Possible: FWC pumps, exhaust, fuel lines, fuel fill hoses, fuel tank(s)
I would figure, conservatively, at least $12-17K (not including "Possible" repairs) assuming you have a marine mechanic doing the work (also assuming you can find a marine mechanic who is willing to work on 30+ year old gas inboard engines - they are difficult to come by).
If I was purchasing a 30+ year old boat with questionable maintenance records, I would want all of the above done, as well as a really good survey prior to purchase.
The 29' Open has a very small engine compartment and, from what I have heard, it is very difficult to work on the engines. It may be necessary to remove the engine hatch and/or various components to get the job done. At the very least, it will definitely take a mechanic more time to do the work order than it would take on, say, a 31' Open or 35' Open, which have more working space in the engine room.
Good luck!
