I'm not sure if the location is similar, but on my 2010 3200, this was a real pain. The shower sump is under the stairway down from helm to cabin.  I had to take the entire staircase off and pull it back 3-4 feet, and then remove two starboard panels in the deck just forward of the electrical distribution panel.  The sump pump box was under that next to the mid-bilge pump.  The float switch in the shower sump was a rule-a-matic bilge-pump type deal with the little jimmy foot that goes up and down.  BUT BUT BUT - you cannot just replace it with another of the same kind.  I tried that and the float switch would get trapped by the plastic debris filter - it would either NEVER go off (stuck down), or it would get stuck on (lever could not get down all the way to shut off pump).  My hypothesis is  that Rule changed the size of the float switch over the years, and the new ones do not fit right in the old sump box.  I replaced the float switch with one of the self-contained float switches - i think Rule 40A or 40AF.  It fit perfectly and has been working well.  The other option is buying a whole new shower sump, but they aren't cheap.
