My wife and I own a 2008 Tiara Sovran 4300. We boat on the Great Lakes. This will be our third season with the boat.
Last season we noticed water accumulating in the groove inside the front windshield forward on the dashboard. While sitting at the dock we wouldn't notice the water however when we took the boat out and as the boat got up on plane, the water that accumulated in the groove would spill out onto the dashboard making a mess across the dash. We started to have towels ready to catch the water when we went out.
I'm thinking the seal under the black rubber seal that goes around the exterior of the windshield might have failed?
I'm wondering if the thick dish soap trick might help pinpoint the source of the leak?
Once I locate the leak what options do I have to seal it back up?
Tiara has the gasket material available. I had an awful leak from the center window, thanks to the tip above I cleaned out the drain holes and after a 3 inch rain last week not a drop!
I recently replaced the window gaskets on my center window with gasketing purchased through Tiara. I have a '96 Tiara 31 Open. I was not successful considering that the leak still occurs near the lower left and right corners when you put a hose to the window. Not sure if I didn't install the gaskets correctly. There is a flat gasket that attaches to each side and along the bottom of the fixed frame and two L shaped gaskets attached to both sides and along the bottom. I cut the gaskets at the lower corners to allow for water to drain to the drain holes as I was afraid that the gaskets would block the holes. In retrospect I think I should have made a continuous turn at each corner. By the way, Tiara recommends that you not remove the center window. Re-installation is nearly impossible. Without the center window, you got a big leak problem!
I know this is an old post, but do you still have that email from Tiara about the center windshield frame? If so can you forward it to me at recppd@hotmail.com. Thanks!

The window seals are fine, but the frame is leaking. I was thinking about taping one side, and trying to fill with silicon. From what I've heard this creates a mess. The problem is my helm electronics get wet when a wave comes over the windshield. Other than a full replacement, are there any suggestions?
I need you email address, I will then send you all the information that Tiara sent me about how the windshield was put together, how to take apart and replace seals and the P/N for all the seals which Tiara told me are still available from them. PM me or post here and if anyone else wants it I will also send to you, just let me know.
I am working on my parents' 3100 and trying to get the windshield to stop leaking. I would love it if someone could send me any information about fixing the windshield leak. Thanks!

First make sure the drain holes on the outside of the windshield at the bottom are unobstructed. I used a piece of 200# mono to ream out the drains, solved my problem. This on the center portion of the windshield. From what I've read and my own experience silicone does not work.
