    Does anyone have a source for these "lit-tip" toggle switches and boots? I appreciate any direction/info.

There are thousands of them in all colors on eBay. Just search "lighted toggle switch" or "toggle switch boot". You might add 20 A and 12 Volt.

The switches in my 89 3100 are made by Carling Technologies. There are readily available and very reasonably priced. As offered above a Google search will bring up plently of options.

I was able to find the boots but am struggling to figure out how to install them and would appreciate any guidance!

There will be three terminals, One is the 12 volt power to the switch, another is the ACC ( Accessory ) terminal that the switch feeds power to such as wipers / lights etc. The third is the ground terminal for the switch indicator light that should come on when the switch is in the ON position.  Hope this helps.
