2006 36 open I had helm seat re upholstered and the seat frame powder coated. When the seat was re installed, with magnet sensor re glued and lined up, switch does not active. I don't think the switch is getting power. It worked fine before powder coating. I removed the magnet from the seat and placed it against the sensor still no good.
You need a continuity meter to test the switch. They give them away at Harbor Freight. With power off, put the meter in the continuity mode and probe across the switch terminals. It should read close to zero with the magnet in place and open when the magnet is removed. Capt. George
I just realized that when the upholstery was installed they removed the refrigerator behind helm seat , to secure cockpit seat brackets that were loose. I am assuming that that the sensor and or power wires travel through the area where refrigerator is and maybe they disconnected a wire? Will have a look tomorrow
