I have a 1996 Tiara Express 40, on the port side below the engine I have water that collects along the engine support stringer running fore and aft. I do not understand why the water is collecting there and not draining to the lowest point in the boat (i.e. mid bilge area or aft bilge area). I feel there may be a plugged access hole which is trapping the water and not allowing it to drain properly. However, I cannot locate a hole for the water to drain through. Any insights is appreciated and how I can get this water to reach the mid bilge or aft bilge to be expelled by the bilge pumps.
I can't tell you where the water is coming from but I have owned a 2000 35 Open and now own a 2005 38 open and the compartment under the engines in these boats are designed not to drain fluid to lower parts of the boat. This to prevent any engine fluids from being pumped overboard. Anytime I clean the engines I use a wet vac to suck the water from under the engines. Hope this helps.

I use a cleaner-degreaser in a garden sprayer ( the purple stuff). Spray it on everything, let it set for a few minutes and use a low-pressure pressure washer. Be sure to rinse everything well, than take a shop vacuum to remove the water from under the engines. This process is simple and has worked quite well for me. Careful not to get the cleaner in your eyes or on your skin. Good Luck!

I have been thinking about this. How exactly do you clean the engines?
Never mind. Just saw the follow up post. LOL
