We are enjoying our 2700 open, but first trip out the electric toilet stopped working. Button was pushed, pump ran, but then stopped and is non responsive.
Its an old type that is electric but also has a manual handle. Tryign the manual pump didn't work as it wouldn't move -- not sure if the electric motor is binding up or if somethign else is freezing up. Did not want to force it and break it.
Anyone have a suggestion how to fix this or go about troubleshooting? getting a mechanic to look at a toilet during peak season is going to be impossible.
First is to check for power getting to.the pump. If it is getting power you are gonna have to pull it and see if anything got stuck and bound it up. People will throw some stupid stuff in the head not understanding how they work on a boat.
Checked power in/out to the switch and there is none. Can’t find any popped breakers and I pulled an access panel to the bilge and found a few fuses, but they were all good.
it has to be a power issue, but I can’t find where to rectify it.
Any ideas? Anyone know where to look on this particular boat?
Had a mechanic assess it when he was doign other work. Switch was bad. new one on order.
FYI, toilet was a raritan electric powered manual toilet. In the interim i was abe to undo a bolt, insert a handle found under the vanity and use it in manual mode.
