I have had friends that like them, but do you think they’d work on our 4000’s? I have the same boat and did a ton of looking into this during the off season. I was afraid if the dinghy was laid all the way over it would make trunk access a total pain as it would lean against the trunk. Or if you went with the design that keeps the dinghy upright on its side, it would just act like a giant sail when underway.
Curious as to your thinking because I’m still considering options. As I got more serious, I think I was settling on the below option, but would happily be convinced of a smaller and cheaper solution:
I didn't think about the wind resistance while underway, I think it is behind the garage so not sure how much resistance it would create.
And you have to pull the motor every time you pull the dinghy on the snap davit.
Considering the dinghy ramp xl option now as the motor can stay on the dinghy, but I am unclear on installation. Can they be installed on the 4000e while in the water? All of the install videos I have seen are on smaller swim platforms that are mounted to the stern vs integrated. Seems like to install properly with bolts would require cutting the bottom to get access on the 4000e.
