Access to the AC strainer is under the starboard motor. This time of year requires a weekly cleaning of the strainer. It’s no easy task getting my arm/hand under the motor between the hoses etc to remove the strainer cover. And worse yet trying to get that opening tool connected to the strainer cover if it’s on too tight.
Anyone reposition this strainer or have some suggestion to make this easier? Would be nice to occasionally run a hose into that strainer to rinse the AC units without disconnecting hoses at the thru hull shut off, which thankfully is much easier to access. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Wow.. On my 2003 38 Open the A/C strainer & pump are located under the aft fish well. Only problem with this location is that you need 2 people to pull the fish well out.. Once removed access to the A/C strainer & pump is easy. Also located under the fish well is the salt water wash down pump....
