Replacement Scuppers
#11
I actually just removed my scuppers (2002 3100 Open) this past weekend for the same reason. Mine were cracked and leaking. Took a while, but I was able to get them out and confirmed there was no moisture damage to the core. As for replacing them, I only found the two options currently posted: Tiara or AFP. The AFP scuppers are half the price, which makes them attractive, but I chose to go with the Tiara parts for the added confidence of never having to worry about these things again. Let us know what you end up doing to repair yours.

On a side note, has anyone figured out a way to prevent water from pooling up in front of the scuppers? While I have my scuppers out, I was contemplating putting in an additional drain to remove this water.

I have ordered my replacements from AFP. When they come in I will let you know what the quality is like. As for the drains, I have read of many people that put a small drain with a hose into the bilge to drain the water. I have also read of some that put a sponge on the deck in front of the scupper as it dissipates the water much quicker, and a third option I have read about a person was able to shape a piece of starboard to fit on the deck in front of the scupper to bring the floor level up even with the bottom of the scupper so the water flows right out instead of pooling.

Just received my replacement scuppers from AFP. They look pretty good and line up with the old one that I was able to partially salvage. The hole pattern is a little off so I will probably have to drill new holes. I will post again after I install them.

Good luck! That was fast. I'm still waiting on the replacements from Tiara.

I went down to the boat to dry fit the scuppers. They are going to work fine. The only issue is I messed up the measurement for the sleeve length. It should have been 3 3/4 and I told then 2 3/4. But I traded email with them this morning and they are going to put a new sleeve on both pieces for nothing, all I have to do is pay for shipping. Great customer service from AFP Marine.

I received the replacement scuppers from Tiara last week and went to the boat this past weekend to see if I could get them installed. My entire reason for paying Tiara for the parts was, hopefully, that the mounting holes would match and the installation would be easy. Sadly, that was not the case and the mounting holes do not match up with the holes currently in my transom.

How did the AFP mounting holes match up? Are you having to drill new holes too? My current plan is to drill out the holes larger (probably 1/4"), fill with Marine-Tex and then redrill 1/8" mounting holes then reseal and install with 3M 4200. I would rather use West Systems epoxy since I have a bunch leftover but figure Marine-Tex would look better cosmetically if any of the repaired areas will show after re-installing. I'm interested in seeing how you dealt with this if you had the same problem.

The holes do not line up. I will be filling and re-drilling as well. But since I only paid half of what Tiara wanted and they fixed my screwup for free I am not complaining.

Great information, I have been wanting to replace mine but Tiara's price just seemed a bit high and I think I'll put the drains in front of them as well.
