Rear transmission seal
#1
Does anyone have any info, or a link to send me to, for replacing the rear seal? I have a 3100 open with 454 crusaders. This is the farthest back seal on the trans. Just before the shaft. I'm spraying trans fluid when under power.

Be sure it's the rear seal that's leaking. The O rings on the shift linkage shaft often fail and you think it's the rear seal. The O ring replacement is a one hour easy job.

On the side of the transmission where the shift cable connects.

Thanks George. I'll look at that. Hopefully that's it. If it isn't and it is the seal, do you or anyone else have info on how to?
