may be a dumb question, is there a trick to changing these? and can you just go to a auto zone or auto store? mine are faded (the arms) and the rubber on the blades are brittle, do they just snap on and off like a car? would like to replace the arms and the blades if the price isssssnt too bad, thank you.

There was a thread here discussing this. It may be relevant to your boat. Search for it, it will be recent. Gist of it seems truck wiper blades cross over.

On my 2003 38 Open the wiper arms are from Speich Nautic ([Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] ).. Any auto store can help with blades....

On my 2001 3500 open I went with Marinco stainless blades with marine silicone wipers from Hodges marine around $40 price range and the stainless AFI arms from wholesale marine.

When we couldn’t find the large size and auto stores where out of the large sizes we found them at a Camping World that had many large sizes for Motor Homes. Don’t know if this helps but just passing on where we found them.

The wiper assemblies on my 2006 Sovran 36 are made by IMTRA. They are truck units. I have gotten new blades directly from them.

I found the blades for my 2002 31Open at NAPA. I do not recall the number but can probably find it.
