Guys,
I found my 31' today and it's 2001 with the 7.4 litre-350 hp motors,low hours less than 500 all in sweetwater.
I would like the 8.1's but finding a good boat is like winning the lottery.
I'm goiing to do walk through on it this week end.
What areas should I be looking at for dampness/moisture on these boats?are they any specfic areas you would recommend?
Did this year have any specific issues to look out for?
Just trying to do my homework for baseline check before I spend the money on a good surveyor.
Do I buy or do I wait for another to pop up?
Will I miss the boat if I dont close on this one?

Congrats, finding a boat right now is a lucky - good timing win!

Obvious are the stringer and bulkheads but also look for soft spots around ports, windlass and anchor locker and any non Tiara accessories. Also around the swim platform both inside and outside.

All said, a surveyor is definitely the money you can spend!

Do not drag your feet too long, the really nice Tiaras do not stay on the market long

+1 the advice about the surveyor. Worst case is you get warned off, best case is you get the first compliment on your new boat. I would definitely ask for copies of old surveys if they're available.
