So I have been looking for a new [to me] Tiara in the 40' range, although I could make the Tiara or Pursuit 3800 work. 

I am getting serious about a 4100 Tiara with 3208 Cats @ 435HP each.  Boat appears to be well maintained.  Engines show 2500+ hours on meters.  1,000 hour maintenance was completed including (I'm told) the aftercoolers.  I know nothing about the 3208 Cats.  I have not seen the repair invoices as of this posting.

Questions:
What should I be concerned about?  
Are 2500+ hours on the 3208's an issue?  
What should I be looking for? 

4100
Do you like your 4100?  
Is 6/10 MPG realistic? 
What have you found to be your cruising range? 

I plan on having the engines surveyed by a Cat Certified mechanic or dealer.  My last Tiara (36, loved that boat) had Cummins 5.9BT's.  Great motors.  

I moved on to this boat because I was "warned" by a Cat dealer to steer clear of the 3196 Cats that were installed in a 43 Tiara that I also liked.  I was also warned to keep clear of boats with Detroit 692's because parts are getting hard to find and because they were "thirsty." 

If you have any knowledge or experience with a Tiara with 3208's @435 HP that had/have high(ish) hours, I would love to hear from you.

Came off a ‘97 3700 Open

I own a 97 3700 Open. I’m interested in buying a used 4200 Open
Does anyone know if and when Tiara quit using the engine room hatch where the whole helm deck lifts? I think around 2005-2007. 
I have that on my 3700 and I can’t imagine working on those engines without it.

2013 31’ open In the offseason I had new risers/elbows / serpentine belts installed on both Crusader 6.0 L gas engines. First 3 hour trip out, serpentine belt on starboard engine, I noticed when back at the slip was partially shredded, but still on all pulleys. Contacted yard that installed it and they put another new belt on along with new idler pulley. Just took boat out today and the same serpentine engine serpentine belt shredded again as soon as I throttled up as I was leaving harbor. I ran the engine at the dock twice after work was done for about 15 minutes and everything seemed fine. All pulleys are spinning by hand. Any suggestions?

What was the original battery charger installed on the 2001 3100 Open?       100 amp alternators.

I have a contract on a 4000 Express that I plan to truck from Cleveland, Ohio to Nashville, TN. The hauler I'm talking with about the move says 13' 6" is the max height for his lowboy trailer. Just removing the radar arch won't get me to that height so the windshield will need to be removed. I know there are a number of stainless steel screws securing the base to the fiberglass around the cockpit. I'm curious what tools will be needed to make the removal as painless as possible. I'm new to this forum and attempted to search the posts for '4000 windshield removal' with no results. I'm hoping someone can point me to previous posts, or school me on proper search methods to find info on a 4000 windshield removal. This boat does not have a hardtop.....just a sunbrella top mounted on a frame and secured to the windshield (it appears) via a channel in the top of the windshield.

Does anyone know the Zinc sizes for a 2700 open?  My diver is charging a bunch for them and thinking about picking them up myself.  I asked some suppliers and the prop shaft size in particular is one they need confirmation on.

Is the Charles C-Charger a battery charger or is it as described on their manual a"Marine Electronic Alternator Regulator".  I thought a charger and a regulator are not the same.
