aft bilge pump float switch
#1
I have a 1987 3300 open. The aft bilge has stopped working automatically and I think there is a short in the live connection to the float switch. Where does the wire from the float switch connect to remain live when the battery switch is off?  It doesn't appear to be connecting directly to the battery and the electrical schematic is not enlightening either.

I think you will find a 10 Amp push button breaker marked Aft Bilge with a brown red wire and it is always hot, coming from the hot side of the main breaker on the DC panel. This B/R wire should go directly to the Aft float switch. Capt. George

Thank you capt George.  I have found a revised schematic which makes more sense as the float switch wire appears to go to the battery switch.  Is the push button breaker on the panel to the right of the wheel.   If not, where is it located? If so, is there a separate breaker for the manual aft bilge switch?

Every boat is different. The push button breaker for the float switch is usually on the AC/DC main panel. The manual aft switch at the helm will have a separate breaker. Capt. George

Thanks for your advice.  Float switch is now rewired and working again.
