Dear Tiara Owners club, 

Last week I was doing a check in the bildge and and I found lots of fresh water. I suspect that it is from the shower drain as I can hear it draining in an open space, but i'm not so sure. If anyone knows the answer I would really appreciate it.

My name is MK and I have just purchased a 1992 Tiara 2700 Open. This is honestly my first experience in boat ownership and boating.

I am quite excited about my boat, it is a beauty and the craftsmanship and quality of work is evident. A classic. 

I also am quite apprehensive about learning the skills to maneuver the boat, as well as maintain it (all my folks keep telling me how expensive it is to own a boat). I hope that some assistance from this Owners board might be able to help me overcome some of my apprehension. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know if there was a fixed mount fire extinguisher placed in the engine compartment of 1997 3100s?  There was a Fireboy CG2 for 275 cu ft coverage onboard my boat when I bought it, but it was not attached anywhere.  I would like to place a replacement unit in the engine compartment but, if possible, I'd like to locate it where it was originally placed by Tiara.  What seems like the best spot on the aft bulkhead currently has an electrical grounding block that would be in the way.  Thanks for any info.

I have two bilge pumps in the engine room and was wondering if someone could confirm my theory.  One of them looks like a regular bilge pump, sits under the batteries and has a float switch, named mid bilge.  The other one is called the keel bilge and is a pump sitting on the port side of the port engine.  The breaker for this pump is normally in the off position and anytime I turn it on, the pump turns on.  My assumption is that the keel bilge is a larger pump designed as an emergency back up.  This would make sense because the design of the batteries being so close to the bottom of the bilge has always concerned me.

Can anyone confirm this for me?

I have a 2000 Tiara 3100 OPEN with 7.4L Crusdaers. One of my plastic 90 degree air inlet extension tubes is cracked. It is part # 98580. I am having trouble finding a source for replacement. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Hi everyone,

I am selling my 2000 Tiara 3800 Open. Boat is located in Holland, MI, currently in heated storage for the winter. I have a 2022 survey on file. 

Needs port Cummins engine as the previous port engine apparently overheated and I am being told by the local Cummins dealer that a remanufactured engine would be cheaper than a rebuild. ZF transmissions are in good shape. 2 AC units that blow cold. Brand new holding tank and hoses. Starboard Cummins 6CTA8.3 is in good shape, 7XX original hours. Cummins generator runs great. No known structural issues. Custom hardtop enclosure new as of 2023. Brand new Acme props last season. All systems otherwise run great.

Hi everyone, I recently purchased a 1989 3600 open which needs some love. After purchasing I came to realize the electrolosis was much worse than originally thought. The machine shop just notified me that the rudders are bad. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to source one or the dimensions on what I would need? I emailed Tiara and still waiting on them to respond.

All seven Batteries on our 2000 Tiara 3500 Express with twin Cummins 6BTa's and Westerbeke Generator were replaced in 2019.  The water level has been checked multiple times over the years and they check good.  All are the same batteries.  At 5 years old I'm thinking to replace them all.  Would AGM be a good choice?  Any brand recommendations or just stay with lead acid.

1986 3600 Open 

My Cockpit Deck has become soft and needs a new core underneath it. My plan is to cut it out with a angled Feinsaw, recore it with glassed Balsa Core, reinstall it and seal with Lifeseal. Then maybe cover the whole deck with Sea Deck. 

Has anyone done this project ?
