Hello All!

Has anyone added a generator to a 3100 gas engine boat?

Hello TOC!
I own a small business that caters to owners of older Tiara Yachts that need parts. I worked in the parts and Customer Service Department at Tiara for 5 years and live just a few miles from the plant. I also owned a 1986 31 Open and know why people love these boats! If I can answer any questions for you about your boat feel free to send away! I will be recruiting other members to the site to help it grow.

Quote:Quickline, an importer of marine gear and accessory products, announced a total recall of Boyut Marine-manufactured UFS8 Ultra Flip Swivels designed for use with 1/4-inch and 5/16-inch anchor chains.

Produced between June 2009 and October 2010, the UFS8 is easy to identify. All recalled units have a molded eagle on the side of the swivel. Non-recalled units, produced prior to June 2009 and after October 2010 have a smooth body and finish.

All other Ultra Flip Swivels - the UFS6, UFS10, UFS13 and larger sizes - are not affected by the recall.

"Simply put, the UFS8 swivels do not meet Quickline's high quality standards and strength requirements," Quickline USA president Randy Boelsems said in a statement. "Thus we are replacing every unit that we have sold to our customers, as their satisfaction and safety are paramount."

Hello.

Peninsular owns a 26' Tiara Pursuit and last year we re-powered it with a 6.5L 300 hp turbo diesel. It was the first season on the water for "Diesel Dazzle" since the re-power. We run on Lake Michigan out of the Montague/Whitehall area. We've been spending the summer knocking out a list of minor repairs to the boat (like replacing the bilge pump float!).

There are a few Tiara boats out there with Peninsular Diesels in them. We'd like you all to know that Peninsular Engines is alive and well and we'd like to participate in this forum to support those Tiara owners who run Peninsular Diesels. We promise not to annoy you with active sales and marketing. However, we have made a lot of improvements to the 6.5L marine diesel. If you're considering a re-power, we have a great value for the money. We're here to keep your boat out on the water where you can enjoy it..

Hi my name is John I own a 27 Tiara open that we cruise and fish Lake Michigan out a little town of Algoma Wi. The boat I have is perfect for what we use it for. Pulled the boat on 10/15 for winter storage that is a sad day. Frown

Put your boat information in your signature:
As things grow it gets harder to remember everyone's boat model, year, engine package and home port. I often go to the members profile to refresh my old brain before replying to a post. So, please take a moment to click on My Settings and update your profile with your boat information including model, year, engine type. Don't forget your home port as well! This helps other members assist with any posts in which the post may not contain that information. If a new member joins take a second to tell them to complete their signature with this information. In the end it just makes it easier for everyone.

Creating posts/threads:
 • Don't start a thread about the same topic twice on the same forum or different forums.
 • Try to stay on topic when making post. If it is going to go off topic start a new thread.
 • Do a search on a topic before starting a new thread.
 • Try to make sure your post goes in the appropriate forum.
